On Thursday Oct 30, 2008 I put a quart of Marvel Mystery Oil (in the crank case) in my 1974 Chevy 6 cylinder pickup. This is the first time I've tried MMO (it's been around since 1926), but after reading all the great reviews on it, decided to give it a try. Below is a pic of my pickup, only 115,000 miles on it.

Here is a pic of Marvel Mystery Oil in case some of you new comers never heard of it, or its slipped the minds of you all that have been around for a while.

I've also added 4 oz of MMO (as per directions on the bottle) to my pickup's gas tank, and our 2006 Hyundai Sonata's gas tank. More on the Sonata later.
In a couple weeks I'll give a report on here about how I feel about MMO and my experience since I started using it.
In the mean time, I wanted to share the following email I received 3 days ago from Cache, Oklahoma (near Lawton).
"Butch: I have a 1996 Jeep Cherokee with 403,000 (not a typo, 403,000 actual miles) on it. No one except me has ever changed the oil and filter and the only oil ever used is Castrol 20/50. Also, each time the oil has been changed, I have added one pint of Marvel Mystery oil. It has the 4.0 litre engine and even with this many miles, only uses a quart of oil every 3,000 miles or so. I have always changed the oil and filter every 10,000 miles. In my opinion, the 4.0 litre engine used in many jeeps is one of the best, if not THE best automobile engine ever built and Marvel Mystery oil is the best additive on the market." -Royse Samples, Cache, Oklahoma
If anyone out there has used Marvel Mystery Oil, I'd like to hear your comments on here, good or bad.
