Does anyone know of any lost or buried treasure in Northeast Oklahoma...? I have been living in the Miami area all my life, I was born and raised here and when I was growing up my Dad would tell me a few things about the area in which he grow up, my Dad was raised on a farm south of Miami, Okla. in the Hudson creek area between Miami and Fairland, Okla. I do know that the old Military trail that ran from Fort Scott Ks. to Sherman TX. ran through their property and on some of the land that his father farmed on there is an old well that the traveler's would stop and fill up their water barrel's, my great uncle used to live on that property and one day he was walking down a cow path and found an 1856 half dollar...! Also not to far from there on Hudson creek when i was about 7 years old I found an 1868 shield nickel...
My Dad told me that some of the neighbor boy's had dug hole's all over the property they lived on looking for Jesse Jame's loot..
I was just wondering if anyone new of such a loot buried around the Miami area...
